A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy if you’ve got a shared hosting with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit simple-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage the hosting account itself. You will find all the email addresses that you have set up listed in alphabetical order and on the right side of each one of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately show you if a particular mailbox stores all the emails pertaining to a certain domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you want. If there is enabled email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you will receive a warning from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than a click in case you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up using any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated hosting account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click that icon. In the very same fashion you will be able to remove the feature, in case you do not need it anymore. Our system will let you know if you are attempting to activate a second catch-all mailbox for a given domain name or in case there is active email forwarding, but it will never alter or deactivate anything automatically and without your consent.
